Marklin Next Generation Decoder - mfx+

In November 2012, Marklin launched an advertising campaign which hints new technology will reveal in the Nuremberg Fair 2013. From that time, speculation have been heating up of the introduction of new generation of decoder and daylight signal (to replace the 763xx series).

From the last rumor about 2013 new items, the new decoders are named as "mfx+" (mfx plus) and will be equipped in three locomotives. And the source told that the mfx+ decoder features two-way communication with the new signals, e.g. the communication works like Sifa and PZB systems in real world, signal aspect is sent from signal to the mfx+, then displayed on the CS2 (requires future update) and operator have to acknowledge the signal aspect. The whole concept is very similar to the RailCom but we will know more detail soon.
