During the IMA 2012, Marklin announced the Insider Model of Year 2012 - BR 58 Steam Locomotive, item number 37589. The class is BR 58 10-21, known as Pr G 12, with road number of 58 1836. The model features new tooling of metal construction, sound function and telex coupler. Smoke generator 7226 is installed in the factory and digitally controlled. Overall length 21.2 cm.
Back to the 2010, the BR 58 was chosen by Insider Members as one of six most favorite models to produce. And in the latest episode of Marklin TV (Folge 56 ), the production of the model was filmed in detail.
